i am a sound artist and musician

a visual artist

a curator and creative producer

a mentor

and a writer.

i run a cic called instigate arts, instigating positive social change through arts production and participation.

i have a particular interest in activist, feminist and queer culture; folklore, folk and social history; and experiential and holistic practices. 

i make sound work under the moniker/characters of

synda sova

and sister monica

and with my bands

and story exists

and as myself.

driven by love as a living practice of liberation, i disrupt, deconstruct and unlearn to create safe and inspiring spaces and projects where originality and healing can thrive.

as a holistic living practice my work instigates positive personal, social and experiential change through artistic creation and participation.

i am always exploring new and innovative ways of reevaluating, revealing and reconnecting issues of the past to contemporary and personal situations and states, and in utilising sound and the arts to promote positive social conversation, agency, debate and change and  personal growth, connectivity, healing  and understanding. 

i have vast experience working with different artists, agencies, organisations and communities, as an artist, producer and a commissioning curator.
